After tickets for the Saturday matches in the upcoming Barclays Asia Trophy were sold out in record time, fans are rushing to grab a seat for the first day of the tournament on Wednesday, July 24. Matchday tickets are still available for semi-finals day, but are selling faster than in previous years.

The semi-finals start with Tottenham Hotspur facing Sunderland in a repeat of the final match of the 2012/13 Barclays Premier League season, when a tense game was decided in the final minute in spectacular fashion by Spurs’ Gareth Bale.

Then it’s time for Hong Kong fans to watch 2012 Barclays League champions Manchester City, under new manager Manuel Pellegrini, taking on South China, the Hong Kong champions.

The Barclays Asia Trophy is the only Premier League-affiliated competition to be held outside England.

Wednesday’s ticket prices range from HK$150-500 (GBP13-42). Tickets for the Barclays Asia Trophy 2013 are available to purchase in Hong Kong via Cityline, the official ticketing agency of the Barclays Asia Trophy.

Tickets sold are per match day and each daily ticket gains the purchaser entrance to both matches on that day. Over two thirds of match tickets have gone on sale to the public, with fans snapping up the affordable tickets in exceptional numbers.
