Football: Man Utd announce IVC as Chinese Wellness Partner

ManUtdLogo_300x276October 28, 2014: Manchester United has announced a multi-year partnership with IVC as the club’s first Official Chinese Wellness Partner. IVC, a leading player in the global nutritional supplement market, has created a line of wellness products tailored for the China market.

 

Founded in 1955, IVC produces supplements for the leading retailers in the United States and nutritional, prescription and over-the-counter products for global household brands.

 

Richard Arnold, Manchester United’s Group Managing Director, said: “As a professional sports club we understand the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, something we encourage not just among our players but also among all our 800 staff, local community and fans across the world. Through our partnership with IVC we hope to spread this message of wellbeing to the 108 million faithful followers we have in China.”

 

As part of the partnership, IVC’s Mate brand series will launch products that carry the Manchester United crest. These include Sportmate, a nutritional supplement that improves muscle repair and supports metabolism, and Dailymate, which supports immune health and boosts energy levels.

 

Chang Liang, President of IVC, said: “IVC and Manchester United have many things in common, sharing the same DNA that has made us both successful global organisations. We believe health and nutrition is the key to a person’s wellbeing and Manchester United will help us communicate this to its millions of followers in China.”

 

On Monday, Manchester United and Bulova, the club’s Official Timekeeping Partner, unveiled a series of unique watches specially designed for each member of the first-team squad. Each player helped create their own, one-of-a-kind watch, with customisation choices including individual signatures on the dial as well as different caseback options, some as personal as family photographs.

 

Gregory Thumm, President of Bulova Corporation, said: “While developing individual watches for each first-team member was a big challenge, it was both a worthwhile testament and a token of esteem as we create new traditions shared by Manchester United and Bulova Corporation.”

 

‘The Treble Collection’ was also unveiled, a new range inspired by the 1998-1999 season when Manchester United became the only English club ever to win the FA Cup, Premier League, and UEFA Champions League in the same season.

 

Arnold said: “Bulova’s unique creations show wonderful creativity and commitment to their partnership with the club. I’m sure the squad will be delighted with these deeply thoughtful and creative timepieces. Bulova’s fantastic new Treble Collection will allow fans to have a permanent reminder of one of the most unforgettable seasons in our long and distinguished history.”
