Two fights have been added to the Valor of Champions card in Manila, headlined by the ONE welterweight title bout between champion Ben Askren and Luis Santos.

Two fights have been added to ONE: Valor of Champions, headlined by Ben Askren’s defence of his welterweight belt.

March 6, 2015: Filipino superstar Mark Striegl will make his ONE Championship debut in Manila on April 24 when he takes on undefeated American Casey Suire in the co-main event at ONE: Valor of Champions.

As well as Striegl’s long-awaited debut on Asia’s leading MMA promotion, a clash between Filipino kickboxer Eugene Toquero and Indonesia’s Brianata Rosadhi has also been added to a card headlined by the ONE welterweight title bout between undefeated American Ben Askren and challenger Luis Santos of Brazil.

Victor Cui, CEO of ONE Championship, said: “ONE: Valor of Champions is set to be the biggest sporting event to be held in the Philippines this year. Mark Striegl is a Filipino MMA superstar who has proven that he has what it takes to compete with the best in the world.

“He now tests himself against the best in the world in ONE Championship’s stacked bantamweight division, beginning with the undefeated Casey Suire. Both mixed martial artists are known for their exciting styles.”

The 26-year-oldStriegl (13-1-0) was born in Baguio, raised in Tokyo and attended university in the USA before exploding onto the MMA scene with 12 straight wins in the featherweight division.

In 2013, he suffered his first pro loss against Kim Jang-yong in a PXC bout in the USA before winning again – for the 11th time by submission – in the Malaysian Invasion MMA promotion last October.

Suire (5-0-0) is a latecomer to pro MMA, but the 38-year-old has won all five of his fights, four by submission. The Jakarta-based fighter is currently training with fellow undefeated Indonesian Fransino Tirta as he prepares for his fourth fight with ONE.

Toquero (5-1-0) will fight in his third straight ONE bout in Manila, where the accomplished kickboxer lost his promotion debut in December 2013 before bouncing back by beating Malaysia’s Gianni Subba via decision last May. Before joining ONE, Toquero won all four of his fights with PXC by TKO.

Rosadhi (1-1-0), who hails from East Java, is a Wushu and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner looking to make up for losing his ONE debut in Jakarta in September 2013, having won his pro debut earlier in the year.
